The Position

We are hiring a Content Marketing Specialist to run Virayo’s marketing alongside our CEO. This is an embedded role on our team. You will produce founder-led content every week across video, a newsletter, LinkedIn, and podcast appearances.

Virayo is a seven-person agency in Boise that does SEO and AI search visibility for B2B software companies. Our clients get results, and their testimonials and case studies show it. We also have our own platform, Virayo AI. Until now, nobody on the team has been dedicated to telling the market about either one.

Our CEO will be on camera. You will help him write, in his voice, and handle everything around the recordings. You plan the shoots, manage the edit, publish the content, and report on how it performs. Part of the work is building the CEO’s personal brand. Prior experience doing that is not required. We are looking for someone who will research what works and apply it with him.

This role reports directly to the CEO. Expect to work together most days, especially in the first few months.

About Virayo

We are a B2B SaaS AI search agency. Virayo spun out as its own company in 2018, though the founding team has worked together since 2012.

Seven people. This hire makes eight. Our clients are niche vertical category leaders: B2B SaaS companies between $20M and $250M in revenue, usually 100 to 1,000 employees with a decade or more in market. Our results are real: one client holds 30% share of voice in AI answers, four times the next competitor; another is named in 77% of AI answers for its category and gets 550 visits a month from ChatGPT and Gemini.

AI Visibility Overview

Virayo AI is our platform. It crawls client sites, tracks how four LLMs describe each brand, and guides content production against quality gates. Everything we make about our own work comes from what it shows us. You will spend a lot of time inside it, and a lot of what you produce will be showing people what it does.

You will start with a backlog of topics our CEO has collected while building the platform. They include how we research the questions buyers ask the models before we write anything, and how we find keywords in the searches a model runs behind a single question. Brand Knowledge, the part of the platform that learns each client’s products, claims, and voice, is worth a series on its own. The data adds to the list every week. A client appears in an AI answer for the first time, or a Reddit thread turns out to be cited more often than any vendor in a category.

You can ask the platform questions in plain English from Claude or ChatGPT, and that works well on camera. You will learn to spot the moments worth sharing and turn them into a video, a post, or a newsletter item. Clients log into the same platform, so what you show prospects is the real thing.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build the content calendar with the CEO: figure out what to shoot, then help script it
  • Run the recording process: setup, prompts, keeping him on track and on time
  • Capture behind-the-scenes footage of the work and turn it into content
  • Edit video, or manage the editor who does. Two cuts per recording: one for prospects, one for clients
  • Create the graphics: thumbnails, clips, carousels, whatever the post needs
  • Write and send the newsletter from material the CEO gives you
  • Run the CEO’s LinkedIn: posts, clips, scheduling, replies
  • Pitch and book podcast appearances
  • Keep the CEO’s personal site current with the latest video and writing
  • Report monthly on what went out, what it did, and where meetings came from
  • Tell the CEO when he is the bottleneck

What Success Looks Like

Ninety days in: twelve videos published, the newsletter out at least three times, the LinkedIn posting daily, two podcasts booked, and a calendar that runs whether or not the CEO is in the country.

Six months in: sales conversations are coming from channels we can name, and you can point at which video, post, or episode produced them.

Required Skills and Experience

  • You have shipped video and a newsletter for a B2B company, and can show us
  • You have written in someone else’s voice: ghostwriting, LinkedIn for an executive, scripts for a founder
  • You have worked with an editor or a designer, and can direct one
  • You can work from a brief without the CEO in the room
  • You understand B2B software marketing well enough that it does not need to be explained
  • You are comfortable in a small company where everyone owns their work
  • Some overlap with US business hours
  • You want a year, not a project

Preferred Skills

  • You can edit video yourself, well
  • You have booked podcast appearances for someone before
  • You have worked at or with an agency
  • You are in or near Boise

Please Do Not Apply To This Position If You

  • Are an agency, or would be subcontracting the work
  • Want to set the marketing strategy rather than execute it with the CEO
  • Cannot show us video and a newsletter you shipped for someone else
  • Need to be told what to do each morning
  • Are looking for a short project

What You Will Get With Virayo

  • A founder who will show up. The CEO is committing two days a week to this. You will not be waiting on him.
  • Real material. Client results, our own platform, and a point of view. You are not making content about nothing.
  • Small, nimble team. Seven people, remote, no hiding. Everyone owns their work.
  • Room to grow. If this turns into a bigger job, the first conversation about that is with you.
  • Normal hours. Nobody here works 70-hour weeks.
  • Time off (full-time). 18 days of PTO to start, seven paid holidays, closed the day after Thanksgiving and the week between Christmas and New Year’s.
